Sono stati da poco battuti all'asta oggetti d'arte, antichità e mobilio collezionati nel corso degli anni dallo stilista Yves Saint Laurent e dal suo compagno Pierre Bergé. E' uscito un film, "L'amour fou", che racconta della sua vita. Sabato scorso ho partecipato ad un incontro di YSL Parfums.
Questa fortunata serie di occasioni e coincidenze, mi ha fatto pensare di scrivere un post su questo stilista, visionario e rivoluzionario. Yves Saint Laurent.
Nato in Algeria, dove la famiglia, francese, si era trasferita per evitare la guerra, vi rimane fino ai 17 anni, quando si trasferisce a Parigi ed inizia a lavorare nientemeno per Dior. Altro che bamboccione! Dichiarerà poi, che ciò che vorrebbe indietro è la giovinezza, che ha presto abbandonato per intraprendere la propria carriera nella moda. Nel 1957 succede a Christian Dior, che muore inaspettatamente d'infarto a Montecatini, alla guida della Maison. Dopo un'interruzione forzata dovuta al servizio militare, per cui lascia l'incarico, apre nel 1962 la propria casa di moda.
Superato il "new look" à la Dior, desidera sperimentare uno stile meno impostato e lezioso, più moderno e adatto al nuovo stile di vita delle donne.
Ispirato dalla sua infanzia africana, gioca con i contrasti di colori forti ed è il primo che adatta il completo giacca pantaloni, fino ad allora prettamente maschile, per la donna, inventando così il tailleur. Inoltre rende la camicia sahariana non più un indumento da Legione Straniera, ma un nuovo essenziale capo del guardaroba della signora raffiinata.
La sua donna ideale è forte, decisa, moderna, non si ferma davanti a nulla, ma è capace di lasciarsi andare, di farsi guidare dalle emozioni più dolci. Sempre in equilibrio tra forza e tenerezza, è una donna che si re-inventa e per la quale creeerà un make-up giocoso, colorato ma sempre elegante. Ma di questo, ne parleremo più avanti!

He will later declare that what he really wanted back was youth, which he soon left to pursue a career in fashion. In 1957, he succeded at the head of the Maison to Christian Dior, who died unexpectedly of a heart attack in Montecatini. After an interruption due to forced military service, for which he leaves the office, he opened in 1962 his fashion house.
After the "new look" à la Dior, he wanted to try and set a style less affected, more modern and suitable for the new lifestyle of women.
Inspired by his African childhood, he played with the contrasts of bright colors and he's the first to reinvent the suit for women, later called the "tailleur".
